Our warm and friendly venue

The inaugural meeting of the Society took place on 21st March 1972 and we continue as a small friendly Society of approximately fifty members at Tidmarsh Village Hall, Pangbourne Road, Tidmarsh (RG8 8ES) on the second Tuesday of every month. We meet for enjoyable and entertaining evenings of a wide variety of music ranging from popular shows to light classics given by talented artistes, mostly experienced and some just starting out on the circuit. We also have an interval when tea, coffee and biscuits are served included in the entrance fee.

Our Committee

Our Chairman, Ken Sims and a friendly and helpful Committee would be delighted to welcome you to our club and feel if you come once you will be sure to wish to return and hopefully join the happy band of members.

Although only a small Club, in 1991 we purchased a club mirror for artistes' use.

To help raise funds and for members' further enjoyment, an annual fish and chip supper has now become part of our repertoire, the last one being combined with an olde tyme music hall arranged by our club organist, Martin Sweetzer.

Live organ and keyboard performances are to be enjoyed, and we welcome visitors and guests from other clubs.

For the future we have already booked more entertaining artistes so we look forward to a great future.

Contrary to popular belief, it is NOT necessary to be able to play to enjoy membership.  Each concert is not a recital but a great musical evening out.  If you attend just one evening and enjoy it - and we know you will - you will be 'hooked' and almost certainly want to join.
