About Cardiff Live Music Club

We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month for a Professional Player or local Musician/ Musical Groups.  3rd Wednesday of each month for a Keyboard players' evening this varies from discussions, recording our numbers for UTube or maybe an entertainer. Our venue has great access, all on the flat, ample parking, and a licensed bar with hot and cold snacks. You can be assured of a warm welcome and we look forward very much to seeing you.

PLEASE NOTE KEYBOARD NIGHTS MAY VARY TO THE 4th WED. DEPENDING ON THE MONTH - SEE OUR PROGRAMME OF EVENTS.

A little bit extra news about our Club - Instead of our usual Keyboard Night in Auguse a party of us went to the Millennium Theatre in Cardiff to see Chitty, Chitty, Bang Bang we had a lovely relaxing evening leaving someone else to entertain us for a change and will certainly be repeated in 2017.

Our Keyboard Orchestra are busy practicing for our Annual CLIC Sargent Charity Concert which will be held at the Islwyn Indoor Bowls Centre, Pontllanfraith, Nr. Blackwood, Gwent - see Sat. 21st Oct. in our Clubs Activities Calander.

We include 3 Charity events each year within our Calender - June 21st. Keyboard Tea Concert - Bucket Collection for Cancer Research Wales          Oct. 21st CLIC Sargent       Dec. Our Christmas Concert Night Table Sale/Collection for Headway Cardiff - See our main calendar for more details.

During the year we visit Residential/Care Homes, Pensionsers Groups anyone who invites us with our "Round Robin Players" this means we have 4-6 members who visit these locations and entertain with 1 hours musical entertainment, which includes "Sing Along Numbers" to get others involved. Each member will play 2-3 numbers then move onto the next member -  we then repeat the process, members always have extra number "up their sleeves". The members vary owing to availability on the day.  Some venues have to be veted prior to the date as we have to check Parking/Access etc. this is an important issue as all our members are "well retired" and safety/ease of access has to be considered. (watch this if you are considering doing the same as "Abled Bodied People" tend to say - Access is fine!!!!  We normally receive a small donation for these events which in turn helps us with engaging our Orchestra Conductor who is always on hand to help out with any problems in getting the best from our Keyboard or a Musical question.

Like most Clubs - Getting  people interested and involved as Committee members is a "headached", we are lucky those we have at the moment are very helpful and work well together but we are all "OF THE OLDER ELEMENT" getting younger members both into our Concerts and involved seems to be a "no go" area - we press on.

Thank you all for listening, why not come along to any of our activities be it Concerts - Keyboard Nights - Rehearsals - the door is always open and a warm welcome awaits once inside. See our website clmc.me.uk
