About Bideford Keyboard and Organ Club
Our Club History
We started back in 1968 and, in common with many other Organ Clubs, began life as Bideford 'Hammond' Organ Society. Our present venue is Bideford Methodist Church Hall, High Street Bideford but please note, the postcode for the entrance from Honestone Street Car Park is EX39 2DQ. For some special events the venue does change so please contact us for details.
Summer Spectacular 2013 - Sunday 28th July –The Welsh Wizard - Byron Jones & the fabulous Dirkjan Ranzijn at The Devon Hall, Bideford College, Abbotsham Road, Bideford EX39 3AR - with the now famous Devon Tea, home-made wonderful food, in the Stucley Restaurant.
This year we will be starting the afternoon and evening concerts a little later due to a morning booking in the main hall. We will still have one hour each artist and different programmes each performance. Afternoon concert commences at 3.30 pm with Buffet Tea at 6.00 pm. Evening concert 7.30 pm finishing at 10.00 pm. Prices are a little higher this year due to increases in costs but still grerat value at £5.00 per conmcert for guests (£4.00 for members) and the Teat at £3.00. Combined concession tickets are £12 for guests or £10 for members covering both concerts and the tea.
Tickets will be available from 1st May and we are now able to take early bookings. Full directions will be sent with tickets. Doors will open at 3.00pm for the afternoon and 7.00pm for the evening performances.
Club Nights
One of the club's main features has always been the enthusiasm for promoting participation in live music. The club has a Yamaha EL90 for members to play and we have members who bring along Keyboards and Accordian as well usually ending up witheveryone bringing the evenings to a superb finale. Our club meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month for the club nights and the 3rd Tuesday for concerts by top class artists unless we have to shuffle dates to get a special artist so check the diary below. The club season is from September to April in this format and each other month we hold concerts and other events. If you like to entertain or be entertained in a friendly informal atmosphere come along and join in.
Our Town and North Devon Area
Bideford is a small market town, situated on the banks of the River Torridge. The town has a wonderful history, based mainly around its port and seafaring traditions dating back to before the Spanish Armada. You can find out more about the area by accessing this link.

Subscription: £14.00
Members admission: Free on Club nights, £3.00 for all concerts throughout the year, other than the special events which are separately priced.The same admission rates apply to members for Summer concerts except where food is supplied and there published prices apply.
Concerts where food is included are required to be booked in advance - costs are advised.
Visitors admission to all concerts : £5.00
