We are a general community music group formed in October 2007 who encourages all local musicians and singers to attend our monthly concerts and display their talents to a very appreciative audience. Concerts are informal and friendly and all adults will be made very welcome either to listen to the live music or perform themselves.
Our equipment has been purchased through grants from the Community Foundation for Greater Manchester and comprises:
Yamaha AR 100 Electronic organ
Yamaha U1 (h) Acoustic piano
Yamaha Stagepas 300
In addition, we use a mini disc player and cd player for our singers. Some attendees also bring their own instruments eg violin, flute.
Concerts start at 8.00pm and finish around 10.30 pm on the first Tuesday of every month.
Admission is £2 which includes free refreshments and we have an interval with a raffle.
You can find us by leaving Junction 10 of the M60 and follow the Urmston sign until you reach the Nag’s Head Pub at Davyhulme circle where you should bear right down Davyhulme Road for about half a mile. St Mary’s Hall in Entwistle Ave on your left hand side of road.
