About John

John Romero has been a professional entertainer for nearly thirty years. He spent the early years of his life based in Watford and it was here he learnt his trade as an entertainer around the London Clubs. In 1980 John moved to Clacton on Sea and in 1999 he moved to Eastbourne. He is classically trained and is a prior winner of the British Accordion Championships. During his career he has appeared three times on national UK television (his latest appearance was in 2006). John has also entertained on several cruise ships, the last was for 11 months cruising around the USA, Mexico and the Caribbean. John was entertainment's co-ordinator for a large holiday site in Clacton for seven years and has worked hundreds of clubs, pubs, hotels and restaurants. Amongst his other achievements are writing for several music magazines and the formation of 'Carillon Studios' and 'Eastbourne Music Festivals'. More recently it was his idea to create the new team that has taken over this 'OrganFax' web site.

Many will know John's wife Jackie, they have been married approaching 22 years and he acknowledges that without her help, he could not have achieved as much as he has during this time.

John has recently returned to the Organ Society circuit after a number of years away from it. Following the tragic loss of their first son ten years ago, their lives changed completely and John decided to only take work within a very short distance from home. Since the birth of their second son, some normality has returned and in addition to his more local work, he is now taking concert dates for 2009 and beyond.
