About Gainsborough Keyboard Showtime

The Gainsborough Organ Society was formed in 1980 with our first venue being the late Ron Woodhall's Organ Centre, before moving to the Centenary Chapel in Gainsborough.

We also held two "major events" each year at the Town Hall, but in 1989, the proprietors of the Town Hall moved to a brand new banqueting suite called the "Weston Rooms".  We moved our "major events" there, whilst still holding our normal monthly concerts at the Chapel.  With an ever increasing attendance, in 1992, we became sufficiently confident to hold all our events at the "Weston Rooms" and a long and happy ascociation was enjoyed at that venue.  Following the closure of the Weston Rooms in 2022, a new venue was required and the move was made to the fabulous 'Trinity Arts Centre'.  This council run converted church is now the premier arts and entertainment venue in Gainsborough acting as theatre, cinema and rehearsal venue for the area.  With a seating capacity of well over 200 with mainly tiered seats but also good floor and wheelchair places as well as excellent disabled access, a licensed bar, lounge area, box office and truly amazing lighting effects and smoke machines on the stage along with the artiste's keboard being presented live via video link to the cinema screen.  There is car parking at the rear off Sands Street along with on street parking both here and around the front of the venue.  Shows start at 7pm on Thursday evenings with a select number of special Sunday afternoon concerts at 2.30 pm throughout the year.  Feedback from both the players and public alike has been fantastic with many musicians citing it as the .number one.organ and and keyboard venue in the country!

To achieve our aims, we demand a high standard of performance and also ensure the friendliest of atmosphere, so that concerts are not just audiences listening to programmes, but meetings of friends socialising together.

Our concerts are now held at the superb Trinity Arts Centre in Trinity Street, Gainsborough, DN21 2AL.

Our Thursday concerts start at 7.00pm and are held on the last Thursday of each month, with the exception of August when we take a break and December when our Christmas show is held on a Sunday afternoon.

Our Sunday concerts start at 2.30pm.  All events are 'pay on the door' and the admission price is £10.

Our Facebook Page is updated on a regular basis. .Just have to click "like" on the page to keep in touch!

In October this year we had a celebratory concert to mark 45 years of concerts in Gainsborough!
