Stilton Concerts move to Yaxley

Starting in July, the concerts previously held at the STILTON Pavilion south of Peterborough will be moving to an exciting new venue, The Royal British Legion Club (RBL) in the neighbouring village of YAXLEY.

Although concerts at Stilton have been taking place for over seven years, the venue has become unsuitable for many reasons, one being the lack of suitable parking and other essential facilities.  The Yaxley RBL offers plentiful parking (no grass!), a stage, licensed bar, tea/coffee and good disabled access.  

Access by road is easy with the venue being only a few minutes from the A1M motorway/A15.

Please note the slightly earlier start time of 2pm with doors opening at 1.30pm.

The planned 2026 programme of artistes remains unchanged, with concerts still held on the FIRST SUNDAY of the month.

Admission remains at £10 and this includes tea or coffee at the interval… and yes there will still be the raffle!

Jean Martyn to Play A Concert at Walsall Wood

BGT’s JEAN MARTYN coming to WALSALL WOOD

The countdown is on for a live show from Britain’s Got Talent finalist Jean Martyn at St John’s Church.  This internationally renowned organist is in concert on Friday 26 June.  The show starts at 8pm, with doors open at 7.15.

A true musical maestro, Jean’s range is phenomenal, from classics, to jazz, from blues to modern-day pieces.  Tickets are £15.

This is a ‘bring your own drinks’ event, but food will be available.

Change of Player at Derby

Horsham MelodyTimes Closes

Saturday 13th June

We are sad to report that Horsham MelodyTimes Concerts has just had their last concert, bringing to an end over 45 years of 'our kind of music' in the town.  Sadly, post-pandemic, numbers attending never recovered sufficiently to a level which was viable, so despite best efforts to encourage attendance and under-writing the losses for quite a time, it has become impossible to continue.

It is hoped that former attendees will find their way to enjoy the warm welcome at either Crawley Keyboard Club or Bognor Regis MelodyTimes.

Leamington Spa June Concert Cancelled

Tuesday 2nd June

Unfortunately, the Leamington and District Organ Society concert for June 2026 with Lewis Scott has been cancelled due to extenuating circumstances. Their programme resumes after the summer break with the wonderful Claire Greig in concert on 8th September.

Rod Pooley Music moves to Larger Premises

Friday 15th May

Congratulations to Rod Pooley Music who, after just a year of trading, have moved to larger premises, well worth a visit to see new instruments (keyboards, pianos, guitars, amplification etc) from a host of major manufacturers.

The new shop is in the heart of Grantham, a lovely town, at 9, The George Shopping Centre, Grantham, NG31 6LH.
