As a player of some 45 years on organ, after playing piano for many years, Robert is well known amongst the dancing fraternity nationwide and has a great deal of experience playing both pipe and electronic organs in concert and cabaret support
He has played in Germany on both piano and organ, at the Fort Regent Complex in St. Helier, Jersey, playing both organ and drums, on radio, and has completed several summer seasons on the East Coast and Blackpool, being the resident band leader and musical director from 1992 until 1995 at Pontins, Blackpool. He has also appeared at most of the major Organ Festivals including Caister, Blackpool, Hemsby, Isle of Wight and Barton Hall, and at numerous Organ Societies all over the country.
Robert is now hoping to perform more concerts for Organ Societies and plays the Bohm Diamant 280CT concert organ. He has owned the organ for the past twenty two years updating it as and when required to bring it up to the present model, doing all the work himself, building and installing all the circuit boards himself. As a hobby project he has also built a Bohm 300 organ. He joined the Bohm Team in 1989 demonstrating the MD900 organ, the forerunner of the 280, and worked with the late Brian Price of Bohm Organ Studios in Nottingham building and maintaining the organs. He has also been involved to a small degree in the development of the organs and has visited Bohm in Germany on numerous occasions. In September 2013 he gained a post as school pianist for several schools in Nottinghamshire and also started playing as relief church organist for several churches in the area, playing for services, funerals and weddings.
After playing Bohm organs since 1988 and having a break from the organ concert scene, a new and exciting time begins with Yamaha Genos and Korg PA800, together in perfect harmony.
A new and varied concert programme featuring music from great musicals, light classics, ballads and stirring marches, along with music from the 60's and 70's. An eclectic collection from Bach to the present day.
