Jamyma is one of the newer names on the concert circuit but she is making a big impression on all who hear her and very much enjoying playing at electronic and theatre organ clubs.
Now in her early 20s, Jamyma was taught by acclaimed organist Michael Wooldridge at the Rye Wurlitzer Academy and has taken a keen interest in both theatre and electronic organ stylings. In concert, she enjoys playing a wide range of music ranging from classical favourites and the evergreens of the great American Songbook, through to musicals, the Beatles and ABBA.
For Jamyma's electronic organ concerts, she plays her Yamaha D-Deck, which allows for a fabulous mix of orchestral, band and organ sounds and styles. She is also delighted to play the UK's many remaining mighty theatre organs and has enjoyed appearing in concert at many venues including Brighton's Dome Concert Hall, Worthing's Assembly Hall, Singing Hills at Albourne, Europe's largest Wurlitzer at the East Sussex National, the Ipswich Christie and many more.
As a scholar at the Rye Wurlitzer Academy, Jamyma had the incredible opportunity of going on an all expenses paid trip to Los Angeles to attend one of the American Theatre Organ Society annual conventions, plus has benefitted from special coaching and masterclass events not only with Michael but also with other notable players, including the USA's Walt Disney Resident Organist John Ledwon, and the UK's Len Rawle MBE.
She has played a number of times on BBC Radio 2's 'The Organist Entertains, including going in to the studio to be interviewed by host, Nigel Ogden.
