About Ascot and District Organ Society (ADOS)

ADOS holds a mixture of professional and amateur nights. The Society tries to give younger artistes just starting on the curcuit a chance as well as the favourites.

Tea and coffee are included in the entrance fee so why not come along and hear some of the best professional organists play - or just listen to some of the local talent you didn't know existed.

Chris Stanbury has been our President since 2011. Chris' great talent and experience has been an inspiration to all our players and his offers of help in other ways has been greatly appreciated.

Quite a few of our members have their own organs or keyboards. All try to help each other where possible, and encourage each other to play at our amateur evenings ("Ascot All Stars"), when players can bring along their own instruments or play the club organ, a Technics GA-1.

A light hearted competition is held annually and awards are presented to the most imporoved and the most entertaining players. The club is always glad to welcome amateur players to show off their talents. Their family, friends and all those wishing to have an evening of live music in friendly surroundings are also welcome at the meetings. This includes members of other clubs who are visiting the area.

December will be our All Stars Christmas Spectacular, where our local talent will entertain you with festive music to get you in the Christmas spirit. We will provide light snacks and Christams treats. Don't forget to bring your own drinks!

August 2023 is the next AGM, along with the summer social fish and chip supper (bring your own drinks). This gives members the who have not played here before the chance to 'have a go' with less pressure in a relaxed atmosphere.
