Stilton Charity Concerts

All concerts take place on a Sunday afternoon commencing at 2.30pm (doors open 1.45pm). The current admission price as and from March 2019 is £10.00 which includes interval refreshments (tea, coffee, cold drinks and biscuits) and is payable at the door.

Any proceeds from the concerts will aid local charities or good causes although, for the first year and a half, I contributed to the running of the new centre and to purchase items such as curtaining for the main hall (now done Jan ‘19). The total donations amounted to £975 over that period. However, with the sudden large rise in the hall hire charges, any money left over in future will go to local charities.*

Currently run under the "Your Kind of Music" banner and based on an idea and help from Elizabeth Harrison, we have grown our audience to become successful at this great venue. Although I head the organisation I would not be able to run it without immeasurable help from my team. 

2024 - our new programme of Showtime events is listed below and is full of top line artistes who should provide a wide selection of great music.

* I changed our charity beneficiary to the Cambridgeshire based Magpas Air Ambulance as and from April 2019 and they have already received £1800 from Your Kind of Music so far (August 2023). We have also part sponsored a defibrillator for the Pavilion Centre.

FOLLOWING MY NOTE ABOUT OUR PENDING CLOSURE AT THE END OF THE YEAR I AM DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT STILTON IN TUNE WILL CONTINUE AFTER ALL! CHRIS & JOANNE POWELL TOGETHER WITH OCCASIONAL HELP FROM ELIZABETH HARRISON AND MATTHEW BASON HAVE DECIDED TO KEEP OUR CONCERT SERIES GOING. PAT AND I HOPE TO BE OF HELP ON A LESSER BASIS THAN NOW. AFTER SEVEN YEARS WE REACH OUR 70TH CONCERT IN DECEMBER. Tony Oliver
