Our Club History

We started back in 1968 and, in common with many other Organ Clubs, began life as Bideford 'Hammond' Organ Society.

We have moved to a new venue and are pleased to inform everyone that our concerts will now start at 7pm at the Kingsley Hall, 17 Atlantic Way, Westward Ho!, EX39 1HX.  We are also trying a couple of  Sunday afternoon concerts in October and November with a start time of 2.30 and hope these will prove popular in the Winter months.  Details of directions and google map are on the Kingsley Hall website www.thekingsleyhall.co.uk  

For those without internet access and we know there are many in the category when your sat nav tells you that you have arrived at your destination, take the next turning right into Youngaton Road then go past the Village Inn and turn right which is Nelson Terrace and the car park entrance is on your right with good parking for our audience numbers. Concerts will now commence at 7.00pm to give artists and audience an earlier finish. We are very grateful to Westward Ho! Community Associtation for their help in accomodating us and for their flexibility in keeping our concert dates and club nights.

Our Town and North Devon Area Bideford is a small market town, situated on the banks of the River Torridge. The town has a wonderful history, based mainly around its port and seafaring traditions dating back to before the Spanish Armada. Why not look up Bideford on the internet and pay our club a visit whilst in the neighbourhood. You are assured of a warm welcome and if you are planning a break, take a look at our concert and event programme. You’ll find we have a super line-up of artists for the year. The club usually meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7.00 Subscription: £15.00 Members admission: Free on Club nights, £4.00 for all concerts throughout the year. Special events are separately priced where applicable.Concerts where food is included are required to be booked in advance - costs are advised. Visitors admission to all concerts £6.00 except where food is provided, see lists for details and prices and for Club Nights we ask for £2.00 admission.
