About Musical Breaks

Musical Breaks started out as Brian Sharp Musical Breaks at an event in conjunction with the late Brian Sharp at Bewdley in 2010. The decision to change the name to Bewdley Musical Breaks was made in 2014 when Brian decided to cut back on his workload and take more of a back seat regarding festival production and appearances.

After Brian Sharp sadly passed away in January 2016, a Memorial Concert was held at The Mercure Kidderminster Hotel on Monday 26th September and the total of £1532 raised was donated to The Deanesly Centre Trust Fund in his Memory. In recognition of our close association with Brian over many years we still hold a raffle at the September event with all proceeds donated to that fund.

We changed the name of this page to Musical Breaks to reflect the fact that we then held events at both Bewdley and Llandudno and this continued until Covid-19 halted everything at the end of March 2020.

In May 2021 we were advised that the Bewdley Hotel would not be re-opening after the end of lockdown, so after a search for an alternative venue we decided to use The Stourport Manor Hotel and now host two organ and keyboard holiday events each year, featuring top Organ and Keyboard Stars, produced by DGI Music Ltd. Music in Llandudno takes place at the sea front Kensington Hotel in Llandudno during August and Music in Stourport-on-Severn is held in September at The Stourport Manor Hotel near the Georgian riverside town of Stourport-on-Severn.

DGI Music Ltd. is the company owned and managed by the Ingley Family, (David, George and Diane) who have had over 35 years of experience in organising and presenting music events at venues throughout the UK, often called upon to assist with lighting and stage management by other promoters.
