About Michael

Hello and welcome to my page on OrganFax. Here you can find out about how my interest in music developed, the things apart from music that I'm interested in and any latest news that I think you might want to hear.

I was born in Bedford on the 10th August 1979 and I started organ lessons at the age of five. The lessons started at this young age because my parents took my grandparents for a day out at Turners Musical Merry-GO-Round in Northampton and from that day we paided monthly visits during my childhood. From these visits it didn't take long for me to start pestering my mum for organ lessons and the rest they say is history. Over the years our family became friends with Nicholas Martin and John Walker and 10 years later Nicholas Martin became my organ teacher. During my school years I took piano lessons and this enhance my left hand and I also gained some knowledge of classical music.

I now play for Organ and Keyboard Clubs around the country using a well travelled Yamaha EL90, Yamaha Amplification and some very old but nice sounding Torque speakers. The last 5 years have been very busy, mainly concert work but also attending festivals which allows me to get to know the people that follow the organ world a little closer. Forthcoming festivals that I'm very much looking forward to and I've been asked to appear at are Tony Stace and Andrew Nix festival in York and Byron Jones festive at Sand Bay.

As for my personal life I live in a small town to the east of Northampton called Irthlingborough. I've live there since moving from Bedford in 2003. Apart from music my other interest is motorsport where I enjoy both watching and taking part. 

If your club is ever let down and you need somebody with only hours to go before a concert is due to start then I will do my best to help out, even if it's a call on the day of your concert. I also belive in value for money and realise the financial pressures that the organ world is under. That is why my fee has not increased in 5 years and remains one of the very lowest on the circuit.
