About David

While still at school, David began his musical career by learning to play the piano with a local teacher.He later continued his education with an 'A' level course and subsequently a Music diploma course at college in Cambridge.

He continued his studies on the piano with a professor from the Royal College of Music in London and also began training, as a singer and organist.

After this David trained in London for a further year to become a School Teacher and on completion of training became Head of Music at Littleport Village College and then moved on to the same post at Cottenham Village College in Cambridgeshire.

Changing Direction.

David decided to replace his teaching career with that of a professional Musician and began by playing Piano and Organ in local Hotels and working as a private Teacher giving lessons in Piano, Organ and Singing. 

Theatre

David has appeared in many stage musicals including, 'Kiss me Kate', 'Guys and Dolls', 'The Music Man', 'Kismet' and 'My Fair Lady'to mention only a few. He has also appeared as a cabaret artist and has worked as a Musical Director for many stage productions.

In the early part of his career he worked as a backing musician to a number of well known Magicians at Magic Circle Conventions including, Kovari, The Great Soprendo and Wayne Dobson.

His first main break in the Organ world followed a chance meeting with Roy Neal at a one day Organ Festival in Peterborough, this meeting was soon followed by an interview on Radio Hereward and later an appearance at the first Keyboard Cavalcade Festival at Caister-on-Sea.
Since then he has become well known on the Organ and Keyboard circuit with many concerts throughout the country.

He has appeared at all the major Keyboard Festivals including, Caister, Hayling Island, Blackpool, Morecombe, Barton Hall, Torbay and St. Audries.

Alongside this he has featured several times on the 'Organist Entertains' and on B.B.C. television.David also presents a show with his colleague Chris Jones, this can be seen at Keyboard Societies and Festivals countrywide.

The Ritz Hotel, London.

David has recently completed a weeks playing for Afternoon Teas at this top London Hotel, he throughly enjoyed himself and his music was well recieved by the Hotel Management and the staff. He hopes to return there in the near future.
