The recent Brian Sharp Musical Break held at Bewdley at the beginning of October was declared to be the best ever by many of the guests attending. Even though he has not enjoyed the best of health in recent times Brian was on top form, disproving the many rumours that he had given up performing and would not be appearing at the event. He gave his all and was well supported by fellow artistes, Chris Powell, Andrew Nix, Andy Oakley, Paul Carman and David Ingley who all made excellent contributions.
Over the course of the week £400 was raised for Brian’s charity - The Deanesley Centre at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton (where both Brian and his daughter Joanne have received extensive treatment). This sum was raised through donations, a raffle and the sale of knitted santas, witches and ghosts, kindley made by dedicated Brian Sharp fans, Gill Blower and Sue Walker. This brings the total donations for The Deanesley Centre to over £1200.
