For almost 50 years Fife Electronic Organ Society has been holding organ and keyboard concerts in Fife. For more than 20 years these have been held in Glenwood High School. So when a change in venue was decided it was a very important step for the Society.
Their new season of concerts will be held in St. Columbas Church, Glenrothes KY6 1BN. This new location is looked upon as an exciting opportunity for the Society to move forward and to improve and increase it’s abilities to provide organ and keyboard music to the people of Fife and visitors to the region.
St. Columbas is situated in the town centre, is well represented by local and out of town buses and has excellent parking facilities for members and visitors attending the concerts. The acoustics of the church have proven to be of a high quality for the holding of a musical event.
To promote the introduction of St Columbas as their new “home”, a special opening concert was held two days ago (August 7th). International player and Yamaha demonstrator, Richard Bower, performed this concert on his Yamaha Tyros 4 organ setup. All proceeds from the concert, a stunning £831, went go to St Columbas Church funds.
The clubs next concert is on Wednesday 18th September, with guest artiste Pete Shaw at the keyboards.
Annual Membership is £10. - Concert Admissions – Members £4, Visitors £6 and Juniors free.
All concerts start at 7.00 pm. Doors open 6.35 pm.
