Chappell of Bond Street is one of the country's truely historic music stores. Take a walk along Bond Street however, and the iconic music shop is no-where to be seen! In fact, since 2006, Chappell of Bond Street has had it's home on Wardour Street.
You may or may not be aware that Chappell of Bond Street is actually part of Yamaha, and therefore the recent announcement of a name change has met with a fantastic reception.
As of January 1st 2014, the shop will be named Yamaha Music London. Made up of three floors in a landmark Grade II-listed building, the store continues to offer one of the world's most extensive ranges of sheet music, a huge range of guitars, brass and woodwind instruments, keyboards, digital pianos, electronic percussion, music technology and pro audio products, complete with try-out rooms.
Also why not read the interesting history of the music shop, which has been in London since 1811!
