On Saturday the 27th of July members of the Bexley Electronic Organ Society, with friends and family, celebrated their 40th Anniversary with an excellent four course meal at the Poplar Suite of the Woodlands in Swanley. Over 100 attended and were entertained during the meal and afterwards by Chris Powell and Tony Stace, not the usual combination but both performed brilliantly to an enthusiastic and appreciative audience.
The evening was organised by the Secretary, Harry Chapman and his wife Kath, together with the Treasurer Ray Johnston and his wife Sylvia.
The photograph shows all the committee together with Chris Powell his wife Marie and Tony Stace. Harry Chapman is on the far right and Ray Johnston on the left, with their wives beside them, all looking relieved that the evening went so well.
