With Britains' Got Talent 2013 over for another year, Jean Martyn (finalist in 2011) is still very much in demand.
Since her 2011 performance, Jean has played at St James's Palace , and has just returned from Buckingham Palace where she was presented to HRH the Princess Royal at the "Not Forgotten" Association Garden Party hosting the Chelsea Pensioners and veterans and soldiers of all wars. Jean has raised in excess of £44,000 pounds for various charities including Help for Heroes The Royal British Legion and the RAF benevolent Fund.
She was back on our tv screens on July 10th in the final episode of Love and Marriage on ITV, playing a piano sonata by Tchaikovsky filmed in Coventry cathedral, showing her skills as a classical pianist, as she has two prestigious diplomas from Trinity College London and the Guildhall School of Music for both classical and jazz, a complete contrast to the crazy boogie pianist seen on BGT. She has also performed on the Klaus organ in the Symphony Hall Birmingham, Birmingham Town Hall and in September will be performing in Zurich at the Swiss Jazz Orgel (organ) Festival.
Earlier this month she was compere for the prestigious " Proms in the Park" at RAF Cosford to 2,000 people, which was in aid of the RAF Benevolent fund and gave a performance on her Yamaha EL900. With the sounds that Jean creates from her beloved EL900 she has become known as the "One woman Orchestra."
Jean certainly lives life to the full delighting audiences wherever she goes and as the saying goes "If music be the food of life " Jean will definitely " Play On."
