April/May will see the amazing Claudia Hirschfeld back in the UK for some very special concerts with her Wersi Orchestra and panpipe player, David Doering. Her concert on 28th April for Swineshead Charity Concerts is in aid of Spinal Muscular Atrophy Support UK and more details can be found on their OrganFax page.
She will also be performing on Sunday 5th May @ Stilton In Tune. The two concerts will have a different selection of music so why not go to both?!
For those of you who may not know, Claudia Hirschfeld is a world renowned professional organist and keyboard player: a veritable Superstar on her instrument, the WERSI Sonic organ, who has not only performed successfully in Europe, but also in North and South America, the Arabian Peninsula and China. She also caused a sensation on many TV appearances. Besides her work as a solo artiste Claudia Hirschfeld has made a name for herself as an „orchestra“ for singers, choirs and instrumental soloists, working with world stars such as opera singers René Kollo and Eva Lind, the German trumpet legend Walter Scholz, the German Tenors and David Doering. David grew up with music, learned the violin first, before he switched to the panpipe and acquired himself an unrivaled virtuosity. His YouTube videos have been clicked millions of times and have made him a star on his instrument around the world. No wonder that he has recently been invited to perform in South Korea. David Doering also likes to break new ground as an artiste, playing tunes on his panpipes that have never been heard before on such an instrument.
On her 2019 UK tour Claudia Hirschfeld and David Doering will present a programme which contains a variety of unforgettable music. The warm sound of the Wersi organ with all its facets merges with the magic of thepanpipe and offers the audience a unique sound experience that invites all to dream as well as to clap and sing along. The selection of songs will range from "The Lonely Shepherd“, "Ave Maria“ and "You Raise Me Up“ to "A Morning in Cornwall“ and "Amazing Grace“ plus some musical renditions from their home country, Germany.
