Following her accidental fall last week in which she broke her leg in three places, we can confirm that Chiho Sunamoto was let out of hospital last night. She now sports a lovely pink cast to protect her leg after the operation to fix it which entailed having a couple of metal plates and a number of surgical screws put in.
Recovery will take about six to eight weeks before she can walk again and hopefully it will not be long before she will be back at the organ. Don't think the pink cast will stop her though, She has already organised to play alongside Jon Smith again in just two weeks at a concert in Bournemouth where Jon will play theatre organ and she will now play piano and keyboards.
The majority of her concerts for the next few weeks have been rescheduled or Jon Smith will play in her place. Unfortunately due to Jons own concert schedule he cannot play at all of them. David Thomas's Keynote concert at Wisbech will now star John Cooper on 6th November and it is hoped that Chiho will now appear there next year.
Chiho asked that we pass on her thanks for all the support, messages and cards she has had in the past few days.
