Michael Wooldridge sends news of two exciting shows that he is both Co-Producer and Musical Director for this year, all of this alongside still enjoying his very busy organ society schedule.
The first, Variety Magic, features comedy heroes Don Maclean and Jimmy Cricket along with Eurovision Song Contest legend, Dana, who is making her very welcome return to the UK stage after an absence of over 15 years whilst she has been concentrating on her duties as MEP for Ireland. The tour takes in Tewkesbury, Camberley, Hayes, Catford, Croydon, Clacton, Wakefield, Scarborough, Corby, Worthing, Christchurch, Weston-Super-Mare, Weymouth, Exmouth and Swansea.
Summertime Special is at the Pier Theatre in Bournemouth every Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 9th June to 8th July and again from 8th September to 7th October. It is packed with glitz and glamour, magic and great music. The show features BBC TV comedy legend, 'Supersonic' Syd Little, the Startime Singers, the Illusionistics, the Summertime Dancers and, as with all of Michael's productions, a live band, which in this case will be Yamaha EL-700 (played by either Michael or Chris Stanbury), drums and the most amazing tenor saxophonist Michael has ever heard.
