Eastbourne Music Festivals are changing their venue. Due to the popularity of their events they are moving to bigger and better hotels for 2009. 'The Queens Hotel' will host both the Organ/Keyboard Festival as well as the Accordion Weekend. This beautiful Victorian luxury hotel has higher quality facilities than its predecessor. These include a fabulous domed theatre room, a dedicated ballroom and bar, two lifts, a snooker room, plenty of space for trade stands and its own very large car park. Organiser John Romero says "After four happy years at the Cumberland Hotel we are sad to be leaving. The Queens Hotel will enable us to offer a better experience as well as expand our size a little". He went on to say "Due to negotiations we have managed to keep our prices the same as 2008".
Chris Powell, DirkJan Ranzijn, Chris Stanbury, Sarah Foley, Michael Wooldridge and Colin Ford lead the star studded Organ line up for the 27th February - 2nd March 2009 weekend and prices are just £199.00 per person. For those that have not been to Eastbourne you will find they pride themselves on a friendly, family atmosphere where everyone is made welcome. You will find the artists on tap all weekend and not just for a one night concert. Little touches like their welcome envelopes, containing programmes, information and even a special chocolate have become their trademark.
Further information has yet to be released however, we can tell you that the September and October festivals are to be held at 'The Eastbourne Centre' (formally known as the T and G building). Anyone knowing the Eastbourne seafront will know that this is very very special hotel and one that is sure to enhance Eastbourne Music Festivals reputation even further.
