Once again Yamaha justifies it's position as the largest and leading manufacture of musicial instruments in the world with the launch of the brand new CVP Clavinova piano series.

The CVP range is a versatile combination of the finest Clavinova piano technology with sounds, styles and featues from the market leading Tyros4 and S-Series keyboards. 

There are three models in the range, the CVP-601, CVP-605 and CVP-609. The 605 and 609 have an exciting new interface and operating system, with a huge colour touch screen at its heart.

Sad Time For Scarborough Electronic Organ Society

Wednesday 2nd January

The end of December has been a very sad time for the Scarborough Electronic Organ Society, firstly their chairman, Geoffrey Rennie passed away peacefully in the middle of December and in the early hours of the 31st December their Secretary, Brian Peakman, passed away from acute heart failure following a bout of pneumonia.

For the time being, their treasurer Graham Turner will also assume the duties of acting secretary...

After presenting concerts at Bispham United Reformed Church near Blackpool, The Blackpool Keyboard Club has now returned to it’s former home of 25 years – The Pro-Deaf Club, Cornwall Avenue, North Shore, Blackpool.

Organist MurderedOrganist Murdered

Friday 28th December

Alan Greaves, a church organist from Sheffield,was found with head injuries on the pavement near to his home on Greengate Lane at approximately 11.15pm on December 24. He died on Thursday night surrounded by his family at the city's Northern General Hospital. South Yorkshire Police have now launched a murder investigation and are appealing for witnesses to come forward. It would seem that it is likely a weapon was used and the motive for the attack is not yet known.
