Wolverhampton Civic Hall 75th Anniversary Concert

Friday 17th May

The New Foxtrot Serenaders will be sharing the stage with organist, David Ivory, who will be at the 4/57 Compton Concert organ which also is celebrating its 75th Birthday! David is in great demand for his recitals of popular 'classics' and transcriptions, played on church and town hall organs as well as his light and popular musical repertoire played on cinema organs.

Joe Marsh and Cameron Lloyd will be at the Organ with Damon Willetts at the Steinway Grand Piano.

Musicroom Portsmouth are set to host a special “House” party with Yamaha expert Ian House on Sunday May 19.

Ian will be showcasing Yamaha’s new range of Clavinova CVPs, CLPs and the PSRS950 in-store, putting the instruments through their paces. He will also be available for bookable 1-2-1 sessions taking place between 11am and 4pm followed by a concert performance beginning at 4.30pm with refreshments provided.

Recently Yamaha introduced a brand new range of CVP Clavinova digital pianos. A key feature of these new instruments is a wide, full colour touch screen.

Although the new touch screen operating system makes the pianos very easy to use, it does however present a problem for those with visual impairments. Award winning American theatre organist Jelani Eddington, will be appearing Sunday 2nd June 2013, in concert at the newly refurbished East Sussex National Wurlitzer

Just added to our articles page the next issue of the Trocadero Wurlitzer News letter.

Good progress is being made with work to wire-up the Main organ chambers. In the Lower Main chamber electronic relay boards are now installed and all the windchest wiring complete. Next the windchests must be connected to the relays. Read about whats planned next and how you can contribute to the cause.

As many of you organ and keyboard enthusiasts know I left Korg UK in September 2012 to concentrate on my own gigs and concerts. Locally in Eastbourne I am still very busy as a musician in many different sinarios. Solo gigs and functions in the hotels, as part of a duo with a female vocalist called Sugar Coated Rock and a band leader in a very popular 6 piece function band called Dirty Martini Swing Band.
