I hope this item may encourage other clubs: In contrast to the sad news of closures recently advised to OrganFax, the Weyhill Electronic Organ Society's December (Christmas) concert, staged on 19 December, was sold out (150 tickets) some three weeks in advance and a substantial reserve list was drawn up.

A second club has closed in as many days. We have just been informed following the unforeseen problems with their venue the committee has closed the Driffield club. In an email from Tony Holland they have passed their thanks to their members, visitors, players and OrganFax for the support they have been given over the years.
We have to say losing two clubs in a couple of days is a great shame and to our surprise we have not yet had any comments about the loss of the Wycombe club on our forum. We have heard many of the excuses for the demise of certain clubs, but ... Read more.
After more than 46 years, Wycombe Organ Club will be holding it’s final meeting on Thursday 12th December.
Founded back in 1967, the club has held monthly concerts featuring the best players form the organ and keyboard world. The final concert will feature Chris Stanbury and Michael Wooldridge, who performed one of his very first concerts at the club more than 30 years ago.
