In a previous news item, we bought you news of a new range of pianos from Yamaha. The launch event, which took place in Frankfurt, also included an amazing performance from 80s supergroup, Shakatak!
One music shop owner told us "the scale of this event is something only Yamaha can achieve! They don't take their position as the world's largest music instrument company lightly and they continue to wow us with the most amazing instruments, it was an incredible night".

An Organ Society which has played host to some of the biggest names of the Organ and keyboard world is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its formation by staging a spectacular gala concert.
Llay Organ Society based in the village of Llay near Wrexham, North Wales which became one of the largest Organ Societies in the UK, was founded by a group of electronic Organ enthusiasts who started meeting informally in 1983. Today sees the start of the Frankfurt Music Messe 2014 - a massive european music fair. One of the major product releases this year comes from Yamaha who have refreshed their multi-award winning Clavinova line.
Including the sound of the legendary Yamaha CFX concert grand and the Yamaha owned Bösendorfer Imperial grand - The new range comprises of the CLP-585, CLP-575, CLP-545, CLP-535, CLP-525 and a fantastic new grand piano, the CLP-565GP.

2013 found her with a full list of engagements with concerts, television appearances and public speaking. Her involvement as a Rotarian saw her performing at the Rotary Conference in Harrogate as well as adjudicating at the Rotary Young Musician Competition in March hosted by the Rotary Club of Wolverhampton, and again this year in 2014.

Tony Reed sadly passed away after a short illness on 1st March. He had been the Chairman of Ascot Organ & Keyboard club for nearly 14 years as well as being a committee member for several years beforehand. Tony was well respected throughout the Organ world as well as at Ascot and will be remembered for his enthusiasm, hard work, dedication, but especially his keen sense of humour.
