John Ledwon recently visited the UK to play a series of concerts. John has what must be the very best theatre organist’s job in the world as he is resident organist at the Walt Disney Corporation’s El Capitan Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. He plays on a huge Wurlitzer organ which they dress to tie in with the Disney Premieres.

Cirencester Parish Church is about to get a taste of the USA! With everyone talking about the American election on 8th November the theme for three free concerts (Mondays 14th, 21st and 28th) in November will be Americana - featuring organ music from and about the USA.
The recitals will be played by Anthony Hammond who will be back at the church following this summers successful series. The free Monday lunchtime concerts start at 13:10 and will finish at 13:50. There is no charge for entry but there will be a retiring collection and informative programme notes to purchase.

Brian Sharp’s passing was met with much sadness by his devotees, fellow musicians, and friends but none more so than his family.
Many readers may not be aware that a DVD was made at The Meeting House, Ringwood. It was here that Brian played concerts regularly from 1986. He supported the unique historical building over many years, playing to capacity audiences with his appreciation of fine acoustics.
