A few months ago it was envisaged that Peterborough Organ & Keyboard Club would cease to be at the end of this year, however Tony Oliver has informed us that this will not now be the case. Following a committee meeting on Monday 27th April it was decided that the club can survive longer than anticipated and they will now be making bookings up to and including September 2016. It is also hoped if they can maintain increased numbers it maybe longer.

St Stephen's Church is the Parish Church of Burnley Wood and Towneley and on Saturday May 16th they will be organising a concert with our own Chris Powell to help raise funds to help pay for a new heating boiler before the coming winter. Although St Stephens is well known for its amateur theatre group and musical interest in the area dating back to 1956 this will be their first Organ Concert. We were sad to hear from Sue Poulter from The Banstead Organ & Keyboard Club that her husband Derek passed away on Easter Monday, suddenly after a short illness. He was a mainstay of the Banstead Club and well known to many in the organ world. He will be missed by all who knew him and our thoughts go out to Sue and her family. Another year passes and Britain's Got Talent is back on our TV screens. Last night Tony Stace & Andrew Nix got their chance to be seen on the show. Unfortunately Mr Cowell hates organs, a fact that was made pretty clear in the way the boys performance was edited. It would seem that ability is not enough, you have to have a hook!
