It is with great regret that we announce the closure of Wurlitzer Organ Concerts at Peterborough Regional College.
After 28 years of concerts, it has been decided that their final show will be on April 5th 2009. The concert planned for April 26th has been cancelled due to increased running costs and declining attendances.
The Wurlitzer Organ which was originally in the Regent Cinema, Dudley will be sold in due course.
From all the team at Organfax, many thanks go to their wonderful team of volunteers who have brought us so many years of musical pleasure and let's hope that the organ will sing out again soon.

Tony Whittaker's recent Charity Music Concert at Bulkington Village Hall, Warwickshire, raised over £500 for the Cat Action Trust (1977).
Delighted organiser Sybil Brown said: “I enjoyed Tony's wide selection of music especially the Glen Miller, Abba, South Pacific and the Classical medley. The highlight of the evening was Tony’s humorous finale - a 'Cat Medley' which involved audience participation. This really was a purr-fect end to the evening.”

It is was great regret that we hear of the very sad passing of one of the organ world's leading lights, Bim Livesey.
Bim was well know to many as the effervescent host of countless organ and keyboard festivals over the years as well as running a number of tremendous big band events.
He sadly lost his battle with cancer last Friday 6th February and all our thoughts go out to his friends and family at this sad time.
