Penny Weedon will be appearing at the Worcester Festival on Friday 28th August at 8.00pm in the beautiful and historic Huntingdon Hall. She will be performing on the fine Nicholson pipe organ there, interspersed with items on her Yamaha ‘Travelling Light Orchestra’ and the Steinway Grand. Her programme will include favourites from around Europe, including Prelude to Act 3 from Lohengrin, Highlights from Grieg’s Piano Concerto, Debussy’s Reverie, A selection from Carmen, Holst’s Venus f... The Weyhill Electronic Organ Society has recently come up with a fabulous idea and secured the co-operation of Test Valley Borough Council in having its name displayed in one of Andover's many floral gardens. Perhaps your club has other novel ideas that can be used to help!

Howard Beaumont will be accompanying the classic silent film 'Steamboat Bill Jnr' at the Scarborough Fair collection Lebberston Nr Scarborough on Sunday 13th September at 2.30 pm. The Mighty Wurlitzer held at the museum will be put through it's paces as Howard re-creates this famous art form of one man becoming a whole orchestra to give the film a new lease of life.

On 12th July, 1965, a young organist played a Hammond A-100 organ at the foundation of the Bristol Hammond Organ Society.

On 12th July, 2015, that same organist, Keith Beckingham, returned and played the same Hammond A-100 organ to launch the Society’s Golden Jubilee Anniversary Celebration Concert.

Founder and first Chairman, Leslie Baker, Managing Director of Churchill’s of Bristol always provided organs for concerts and the Hammond A-100 became his own personal instrument. On his retirement, he was succeeded by daughter Anne as Chairman and she donated the org... Read more.

Following on from our previous news item Simon Gledhill has recently been entered into the American Theatre Organ Society’s hall of fame. The ATOS Hall of Fame award is presented annually to persons who have been loyal supporters of the American Theatre Organ Society. These individuals have shown dedication to the preservation of the theatre organ and their contributions over the years have enhanced the public interest in the theatre organ. Our congratulations also go to Simon!
