Sadly the organ world has recently lost another of its great musicians, Alan Haven died earlier this month and has recently been given a green burial in Bawtry.

This legendary jazz organist worked alongside legendary 007 composer John Barry on Bond films such as 'From Russia With Love' and 'Goldfinger'. His single released in 1965 called 'Image' was frequently used as a theme tune by the offshore pirate radio station Radio Caroline. It was also used as a theme by DJ Tony Blackburn.

Brian Sharp DiesBrian Sharp Dies

Wednesday 20th January

"It's with great sadness that we have to announce that after a battle with cancer, Brian Sharp passed away in the early hours of Tuesday 20th January 2016. The funeral has yet to be arranged but will be for family and close friends only. There are plans however, to hold a memorial concert at some time in the future - details to follow. The family would very much appreciate privacy at this very difficult time".

Our thoughts go to Brian's family at this time.

The Association of Organ Enthusiasts is holding its Members Musical Break, at the Mercure Kidderminster Hotel, Habberley Road, Kidderminster, in the heart of rural Worcestershire, commencing on Monday 7th March until Friday 11th March 2016. The residential event, our twenty-seventh at this venue, which runs for five days, is primarily a get-together for members, but there is ample capacity for day visitors, members or non-members, at a cost of just £5 per day which includes all sessions.
