Friends Of Beer Wurly have been most fortunate in securing the services of "The Pavarotti of the Organ", Carlo Curley, for this grand extravaganza which will showcase two organs for the price of one!
Carlo will commence the evening by performing in his standard "classical" mode on the organ of St Michaels Church, Beer, for the first half. Haverhill Organ and Keyboard Club are having a "trial run" concert on Friday 8th May 2009. To try and increase numbers they are putting on an afternoon concert, starting at 2.00pm, at the Haverhill Arts Centre.
Numbers have decreased slightly over the years and one factor has been members and visitors not wanting to travel at night. If the support for afternoon concerts is good then there may be more in the future.
Playing for this special concert will be Matthew Bason. Doors open at 1.30pm and Matthew will also feature slots on grand piano and accordion.
World renowned organist Carlo Curley will play at St John-in-Bedwardine Parish Church, Bromyard Road, St Johns, Worcester, WR2 5BS on Friday 12th June at 7.30 p.m.
Carlo will be playing an "Almost All American" programme and the audience will be able to see Carlo at work via High Definition Video Projection Screen.
To book tickets, email here or visit the event’s website, or telephone the Worcester Live Box Office 01905 611 427. Tickets are £12 (unreserved seating).

Palace Theatre, Tottenham organ has had pride of place in the hall of the Thomas Peacocke College in Rye, East Sussex since 1957.
Many years later we find these delightful instruments being given a new lease of life in their respective homes and two groups now exist to aid and furt... Read more.
