Music To Watch Girls By...Music To Watch Girls By...

Jean Martyn and Penny Weedon have always wanted to perform together on stage – and with ‘Music To Watch Girls By’, staged by the Weyhill Electronic Organ Society at The Lights theatre in Andover on 5 March, their hopes were eventually realised.

A near capacity audience was wonderfully entertained as the ‘girls’ displayed their undoubted artistry – Jean on the Theatre’s Yamaha Grand Piano and Penny on her newly-acquired Yamaha Stagea ‘keyboard orchestra’.

New website for Organ Memorabilia...

Saturday 13th February

Organ and keyboard enthusiasts may be interested to know that a new website has been launched to highlight organ related memorabilia for sale.  

To start the website going, broadcaster and journalist, Alan Ashton, has listed the memorabilia he has collected over the years and now wants to dispose of in a house clearing exercise.   The idea is to help the environment by allowing others to have a bargain rather than take things to the local tip.   Already several items have been bought by those seeking bargains.

Weyhill Electronic Organ Society were fortunate in acquiring use of the Andover town library window - in the main shopping centre - for the week commencing 25 January and were able to advertise their concerts, display photographs and provide information about the Club. 

Inside the foyer, they had a table upon which copies of their brochure and leaflets, containing full details of their 2010 concert programme, were available to the public.

Date Change For Andrew Nix...

Monday 8th February

Due to circumstances beyond control, Andrew's concert at Middleton Hall, Darlington which was scheduled for Sunday Jan 31st has now been changed to Sunday April 11th at 2pm.

25 Years Of Musical Magic...

Time Flies and who would believe that 2010 will see the UK’s largest week long organ and keyboard festivals celebrating their 25th anniversary, a quarter of a century of musical gatherings featuring the very best from the world of organs and keyboards.
