Sad Loss Of A Wonderful Friend...

Sunday 17th January

Byron (Jones) & Terry received the news today Sunday 17th January, that their wonderful friend and secretary of the Wizard Festivals, Pam Shields slipped peacefully away in the early hours.

Not long ago Pam had an operation to remove a tumor, and it seems that cancer had spread to other parts.  Despite treatments Pam continued to try to be positive, but over the last week went downhill.  The last few day were spent in hospital where she peacfully slept until the end.

For those who knew her and wish to send condolences, they can be sent to Byron who will pass them on to her daughter Julie.

Also due to the weather the concert on Saturday 16th (tonight) with Elizabeth Harrison for Belper Organ Club has been cancelled. She will be with them again on March 19th 2011.

The artiste for the February concert at Wessex Organ World in Bournemouth has been changed owing to the relocation of Esqin Jonker returning to Holland to live. Unfortunately, Esquin has a new job and can't get the time off to travel.

In her place, a great favorite of the members is Mark Thompson and he has agreed to play for this concert on February 18th 2010.

What A Great Idea!What A Great Idea!

Friday 8th January

The Weyhill Electronic Organ Society has once again produced a useful A4 calendar for its supporters, providing details of forthcoming concerts and bank holiday dates.  It has pictures of the year's artistes around the edge and the concert dates are highlighted.

Donations will be invited for its 2010 edition with proceeds going to the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

What a lovely idea, something that we thought may be of interest to other clubs.

Since this item was added, Darrell Lomas of the North East Derbyshire Organ Society emailed to say ... Read more.
