Yamaha and Bonners Music Superstore helped arrange a special concert evening at Eastbourne Organ and Keyboard Club last night. A grand total of £250.00 was raised and The towns Lord Mayor, Greg Santos, presented a cheque to Dereck Legg the chairman of fund-raising for the Eastbourne branch of the RNLI.
Byron Jones will be playing for the silent Buster Keaton classic film 'The General' on Sunday 31st January 2010 at 2.30pm at The Curzon Cinema, Old Church Road, Clevedon.

A fun filled afternoon concert has been organised by Tony Stace and Andrew Nix.
The show will be on Saturday, July 3rd 2010 at the Scarborough Fair Collection (housed at the Flower of May Holiday Park, Lebberston) and will feature both the guys’ electronic organs and the fantastic Wurlitzer theatre organs.
Doors open at 1pm to entertainment from the mechanical instruments with the concert starting at 2.30pm.

2nd October 2010 will see the next UK Electronic Organ Competition which is being held at Park United Reformed Church in Reading.
There are 3 categories for the competition:
* Under 12's
* 13 - 17 year olds
* 18 years and over (no upper age limit)
Entry to Competition is first by submitting a recording (audio/video) to enter Preliminary. The deadline is the 2nd May 2010. Those successful will play in the Final on 2nd October 2010.

Although not exactly 'organ world' news, we thought you would like to know that Carillon Festivals have just announced that Tony Compton and "The Guvn'er" Jack Emblow are to appear at their Eastbourne Accordion Festival (19th-22nd February 2010). Jack, who is possibly the UK's most famous accordion player is known by many for his time on Sunday on Radio 2 programme "Sing Something Simple", one of the longest running programs on BBC Radio.
