Peterborough Wurlitzer To ClosePeterborough Wurlitzer To Close

Tuesday 3rd March

It is with great regret that we announce the closure of Wurlitzer Organ Concerts at Peterborough Regional College.

After 28 years of concerts, it has been decided that their final show will be on April 5th 2009.  The concert planned for April 26th has been cancelled due to increased running costs and declining attendances.

The Wurlitzer Organ which was originally in the Regent Cinema, Dudley will be sold in due course.

From all the team at Organfax, many thanks go to their wonderful team of volunteers who have brought us so many years of musical pleasure and let's hope that the organ will sing out again soon.

Message from Jean...Message from Jean...

Thursday 26th February

We had a phone call from dear friend and colleague, Jean Martyn to say that there have been one or two rumours circulating to the effect that she was retiring from the organ circuit.

Jean wishes for it to be known that it is most definitely not the case and in her own words "I have never been busier and have a good two or three years in front of me yet!".

To see where Jean is next appearing take a look at her Organfax page.
