Blackpool Tower's world-famous organist Phil Kelsall is to make his first appearance at the two Wurlitzer organs installed at the "Scarborough Fair Collection" on Saturday 16th May.
Although having played and recorded one of the venue's Wurlitzer Organs in its previous home, it will be the first time Phil has played the instrument in its new location. Last Sunday saw the Christening of Chris & Marie Powell's little boy, Thomas. His musical future is bound to be assured given his godparents, Brett & Katrina Wales and good friend Andrew Nix!
Chris also played the organ for the hymns, talk about keeping it in the family!
A lovely service followed by a joint Christening and 2nd Birthday party made the day a truly memorable one.

Haverhill Organ and Keyboard Club are having a "trial run" concert on Friday 8th May 2009. To try and increase numbers they are putting on an afternoon concert, starting at 2.00pm, at the Haverhill Arts Centre.
Numbers have decreased slightly over the years and one factor has been members and visitors not wanting to travel at night. If the support for afternoon concerts is good then there may be more in the future.
Playing for this special concert will be Matthew Bason. Doors open at 1.30pm and Matthew will also feature slots on grand piano and accordion.
