Concert organist and composer Tony Whittaker has just published ten more instrumental sheet music items.

These self-penned tunes in easy-listening styles, include Girl From Cyprus (jazz waltz), Bedworth Blues, a Scottish lullaby 'Wee Bairn', a novelty equestrian item Pony & Trap and a tricky Shades of Tone in 5/4 time.

The professionally produced sheet music copies have added chord symbols.

New Forest Organ Society raises £3500 for Help For HeroesCharity success for the NFOS

On Sunday 15th March, the New Forest Organ Society held a lunch with an organ concert at Hoburne Bashley, New Milton in support of the Help for Heroes campaign.  Help for Heroes is the charity that is raising money in support of our badly injured men and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, to help provide them with special facilities etc. 

They had a full house of 230 people and everyone enjoyed a two course lunch, followed by a concert with organist Ian House and then a cream tea.  This was followed by an extraordinary raffle which raised more than £1,00... Read more.

Folly Farm Wurlitzer Celebrations!Folly Farm Wurlitzer Celebrations!

Thursday 19th March

2009 will see a new addition to the Folly Farm funfair (Pembrokeshire) with the arrival of their Mighty Wurlitzer.

Paul Kirner, of Compton Lodge, Sapcote, Leicestershire, who purchased the Wurlitzer from the Lancastrian Theatre Organ Trust, has provided the organ to Folly Farm on long term loan.  It is being installed and will be maintained by Ben Snowdon.

To celebrate the new arrival, Saturday 2nd May at 7pm will see John Mann take his seat at the 4/14 Wurlitzer previously installed at the Gaumont Cinema and Granada Studios, Manchester.

"I have been chosen to represent England at the 100th Birmingham International Convention from 21st-24th June 2009. Delegates are attending this Convention from all over the World, so it is a great honour to have been chosen to do this.

I would like to convey my thanks to Bob Ware my manager, who has liaised with the Directors of Rotary in America, and made this dream become reality.

John and Jackie Romero are very pleased to announce that with the superb help of their guests and some additional fund raising they have managed to break through the £7,000 barrier at their February Organ and Keyboard Festival in Eastbourne. The total now stands at £7,019.01. Visitors to the Eastbourne Festivals will know the charity is very dear to their hearts and is an important part of their charity work.
