It is with great regret that the COS Midlands and Wales District have had to cancel their planned weekend of events which was due to take place between the 22nd and 25th May. However, the good news is that it will not affect the planned Dinner/Concert on Saturday 23rd May with Simon Gledhill at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull.
At a recent meeting of the Midlands & Wales District Committee, the decision was taken in view of the low response for tickets, due mainly to the financial and economical down turn currently experienced in the UK and abroad.

Janet Dowsett took time out from her musical activities over the weekend to run in the Reading Half Marathon. This was her first major running event, and she was delighted to run a time of 2 hours and 38 minutes. Janet has told us that the crowds on the streets of Reading really helped to get her round the 13.1 miles - including lots of great bands placed at strategic points along the route. Janet had been training seriously for the event for many weeks, and can now enjoy a rest for a couple of days, before getting back on the road in her running shoes. She raised £1292 for Cancer...
