The event is run by Claus Riepe, editor of the German OKEY Magazine along with well known lady of the organ world, Claudia Hirschfeld and her husband Andreas. North Staffs Organ & Keyboard Club are now celebrating their 40th year.
The club was formed in February 1969 and originally called The North Staffs Wurlitzer Club. To celebrate this landmark, 132 of their members were treated to a completely free evening of entertainment to the fabulous music of Brett Wales. They also provided a plate of refreshments and of course a birthday/anniversary cake. As they were afraid that it might not go around they also had 132 individual cakes made with a little flag denoting the 40 years anniversary.
