We do not usually put this kind of item on our news page however when this message came in from Alan Pilgrim at Colchester OS and because it is for such a worthy cause we thought we would try and help out!

"I was put into care with Barnardo's from the age of three months when my parents died. Their original Church organ needs £150-000 plus spent on it and they haven't that sort on money. Here's another possible Christmas prezzie for music lovers! Entitled "Compose Yourself", this new CD released from Tony Whittaker features a mixture of tuneful melodies played on Kurzweil piano and strings and Hammond organ. The album is available at MSS Studios, where you can listen to sound samples from the CD.

Next year (2015) sees the Scarborough Electronic Organ Society celebrate it’s Golden Anniversary. The society was founded early in 1965 by a group of organ enthusiasts and was originally known as the Scarborough Hammond Organ Society before it took on it’s present name.

The Walnuts Shopping Centre in Orpington supported the Orpington Keyboard Club for “Children In Need” last Friday (14th November).

John Parker, Chairman of the club, played his Korg keyboard to the unsuspecting shoppers! His wife Ann, ably assisted by the Secretary of the club, Paul Groombridge and fellow members, Vera Jakeman and Lynda Mayne, helped to raise £92.30 collected, within the two-hour event.

Midlands based concert performer/pianist Tony Whittaker has just published a new Piano jazz waltz entitled “Kitten”. The music in 'Easy Listening' style is available in a 4-page, A4 publication which features chord symbols for guitar/keyboard.
