Folly Farm’s Managing Director, Chris Ebsworth met with HOPE Centre Chairman Ken Brombley and Secretary Margaret Brace with Event Organiser Phil Thompson ahead of the charity concert at Folly Farm; the amazing one Mann variety show on Saturday 15th September where all proceeds go to the local HOPE Therapy Centre for Multiple Sclerosis.

When Sue Perkins introduced the world to the Dinnington Colliery Band on the BBC, she never thought to look across the road for further local musical treats. Had she done so, she would have discovered the South Yorkshire Keyboard and Organ Club (SYKOC). The society stages concerts by world-renowned keyboard players every fortnight in the Dinnington Resources Centre.

"Just wanted to let you know how much money we raised for the Macmillan Unit at the Royal Derby Hospital on Monday so it can be passed on to the OrganFax readers. The concert was a fantastic success with all seats taken and more had to be added, so much so that we raised from the concert alone £727.10, other money was also raised which was from the sale of an organ (£275) and from Lorraine, a daughter of my friend who passed away with cancer and... We were delighted to hear from Chris Jones, who had just returned from performing a concert at the Pavilion in Bournemouth. The weekly one hour plus lunch time concerts are priced at only £3 each and offer a wonderful opportunity to enjoy our kind of music in a fabulous building. All proceeds from the concerts go towards the maintenance and upkeep of the incredible Compton Theatre Organ installed in the theatre there.
Bideford Organ & Keyboard Club have written to tell us that this Sunday’s Summer Spectacular at Bideford College’s Devon Hall is selling really well but with the great weather, they will be happy to welcome any travelling enthusiasts to this super event.
Their stars for the day are Andrew Nix & Tony Stace and there are afternoon concerts starting at 2pm, with doors opening at 1.30pm. There's loads of parking and disabled access to all parts.
