Charity Success at Weyhill!

Saturday 26th September

To raise funds for the Macmillan Cancer Support 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning' the Weyhill Electronic Organ Society decided to donate the refreshment contributions received at their September concert.  The audience generously contributed the sum of £81 to this worthy cause and local representatives of the Charity were on hand to accept the donation.

The Club is particularly proud of the fact that it has so far helped to raise over £6,000 for various charities since its formation in 2002.

Well done Weyhill!  Perhaps an idea that other clubs may use?

Sand Bay Keyboard Experience 16th - 19th Oct '09

The famous Lyme Bay Keyboard Experience has moved to Sand Bay, near Weston-super-Mare, because Tesco bought the Seaton, Devon site earlier this year. 

The tariff for the Sand Bay Organ-Keyboard Festival is a special offer for the new venue at £129 Full Board and must surely be the bargain of 2009 - a price never to be repeated again.

Already bookings are past the number who attended Lyme Bay last year, but as the Sand Bay Leisure Resort is a larger venue more spaces are available.   Also, it must be said that there is no single room supplement for those ... Read more.

WOW... Free Concert!

A very special evening has been arranged by Wessex Organ World Society (WOW) for all organ and keyboard owners and enthusiasts on 5th November 2009.

The venue is the Hamworthy Club, Magna Road, Canford Magna, Wimborne, Dorset and timed to commence at 7.30.p.m the admission is free.

Richard Bower will be the artiste on this special evening designed to enable all players to get more out of their playing. The New Tyros 3 sounds will also be demonstrated when Nick Swift of Swift Music will also be in attendance.

A 52 page book about the history of the Gaumont/Granada Manchester Wurlitzer including some rare archive photographs and full specification of the organ is available directly from Folly Farm at £3.95 including P&P.
