More Concert CancellationsMore Concert Cancellations

Monday 11th January

Our first call this morning was from Violet Wittingham at Horsham Organand Keyboard Society. They have been forced to cancel their concert later this week due to bad weather as their concert hall is snowbound. Their AGM will now be before the next concert on Feb 10th.

Our second call this morning was from Tony Reed at Ascot who informs us that they have also had to cancel this week and their concert on Friday with Nicholas Martin is postponed until 19th Feb.


Latest concert cancellation...

Saturday 9th January

Unfortunately, more concert cancellations over the country as follows:

Regrettably, the East Lancs Organ and Keyboard Club have had to cancel the concert with Brian Hazelby next Monday 11th January.  They hope to be able to slot Brian in for another show during the year or very early in 2011.

Peterborough Organ & Keyboard Club have rescheduled their concert with Mathew Bason on 14th January to 25th February.

Also, York Electronic Organ & Keyboard Societies concert on 14th January with Howard Beaumont has been rescheduled and will now take place on Thursday 28th January.


More Cancellations...

Friday 8th January

The weather is continuing to be seasonal and causing more disruption to organ concerts around the country.

The latest cancellations are as follows:

Ipswich Light Organ Music Society have cancelled their show with David Last on Sunday 17th January due to a heating failure at the church.  David is having a concert at Chelmondiston Village Hall on Friday 12th February.

Secondly, Brett Wales was due to appear at Banstead Organ Society on Monday 11th January.  The concert has been postponed to 22nd March 2010.

If anybody knows of any other cancellations, please email them in.

Friday 8th January

The Weyhill Electronic Organ Society has once again produced a useful A4 calendar for its supporters, providing details of forthcoming concerts and bank holiday dates.  It has pictures of the year's artistes around the edge and the concert dates are highlighted.

Donations will be invited for its 2010 edition with proceeds going to the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

What a lovely idea, something that we thought may be of interest to other clubs.

T&A Events wish everyone a Happy New Year. There are still places available for the first of their 3 day festivals this year commencing Friday 12th February at the popular Mill Rythe Holiday Village, Hayling Island.

In conjunction with Swift Music, Tony and Andrew have lined up some of the organ world's top performers. The Saturday night will feature a fantastic cabaret show, “Variety Magic”, and the dazzling talents of Thursford’s Robert Wolfe.
