30th Keyboard Anniversary At Sand Bay In 2010

The Organfax team will be strongly represented at the 30th anniversary of electronic organ festivals in the UK., which is due to take place at the Sand Bay Leisure Resort (near Weston-super-Mare) 15th-18th October 2010.

Ian House and John Romero have been invited along - both as artistes and to represent Organfax in a showcase presentation.

Brett Wales and Chris Powell are pleased to announce that only a handful of rooms remain for their January Organ Festival at The Queens Hotel in Bournemouth.

Running from the 22nd - 25th January 2010, the duo have been overwhelmed at the support that they have gained for their events.  Their first event which is due to start at the end of the month sold out in just over 2 weeks and the second larger event in January has flown too.

After campaigning for the past 25 years with the “Hammond sound” and being the only female on the circuit to do so,  Joanne Naulls, having been given the title “Queen of the Hammond”, has updated her equipment by purchasing the latest “cloned Hammond”  Key B Duo organ, locally called a “Clonewheel”.

It is with great saddness that we bring you the news of the untimely death of Kath Penn, dear friend and booking agent for Dirkjan Ranzijn.  It is a great loss to all who knew her and our thoughts go out to her husband Tom and his family at this time.

Dirk is currently back in Holland but is still available for UK bookings and looks forward to returning to these shores very soon.

A new Mighty Wurlitzer Organ made its first appearance on Sunday 1st November.  The huge 4 manual 32 Rank East Sussex National Wurlitzer was presented in a preview concert to an invited audience of some 250 people and was given by virtuoso organists Len Rawle and Michael Wooldridge.  The crowd loved the organ, which offers everything from very full and rich sounds down to the delicate voices that are just a whisper.
