Date Change For Andrew Nix...

Monday 8th February

Due to circumstances beyond control, Andrew's concert at Middleton Hall, Darlington which was scheduled for Sunday Jan 31st has now been changed to Sunday April 11th at 2pm.

WOW... Charity Concert!

Monday 8th February

Wessex Organ World Society sponsored by Yamaha present a Charity Concert on Thursday 25th February 2010. The concert is timed to commence at 7.30.p.m at the Hamworthy Club, Canford Magna, Wimborne, Bournemouth.

All proceeds are to be donated to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. Some 190 tickets have been sold to date. The organist for the evening is James Sergeant.

25 Years Of Musical Magic...

Time Flies and who would believe that 2010 will see the UK’s largest week long organ and keyboard festivals celebrating their 25th anniversary, a quarter of a century of musical gatherings featuring the very best from the world of organs and keyboards.

Keyboard Cavalacades very first events were held in May and November of 1985 at Ladbrokes Caister holiday centre and the 7 night hobby holidays have grown to become the largest festivals of their kind in the world attracting enthusiasts from far and wide. Rye Bay Scallop Festival...

We received the following from Richard Moore (Chairman of Friends Of Rye Wurlitzer) a few days ago about an interesting event that they are holding with the Wurlitzer at Rye College.  Sounds like an interesting night.  If you are in the area, why not join them?

New for 2010 .. Pete has been working since October last year on a completely new two keyboard and pedals set up consisting of Tyros 3 Expanded,  Kurzweil PC3X 88 note fully weighted Piano- Workstation, and Hammond XPK200 20 Note Bass Pedalboard.
 
The system will be fully on the road from March Onwards for both his Organ Societies/Festivals and Cabaret Work with his wife Yvonne. Eastbourne Organ and Keyboard FestivalEastbourne Organ and Keyboard Festival

It has just been announced that James Sargeant will be at the Organ and Keyboard Festival in Eastbourne in three weeks time (26th February - 1st March 2010). Yamaha will be running special demonstrations of both Tyros 3 and CVP instruments at the Bonners Music Superstore trade stand. During the day, entry to the trade stands is free, as are a limited number of afternoon concert seats.
