New Kent Organ FestivalNew Kent Organ Festival

Tuesday 20th April

Carillon Festivals (John and Jackie Romero) will be running what we believe to be the first Organ & Keyboard Festival in Kent in just a few weeks time. May 14th - 17th. It will be their first Organ & Keyboard event outside of Eastbourne and has both a stunning line up and a great new venue.

Ryan Edwards, Elizabeth Harrison, Pete Shaw and Chris Jones will be the featured artists during the festival. As well as hosting the event, John Romero, who has recently returned to the organ society circuit will also be playing in concert during the weekend. Musicland will also be adding... Read more.

Name Wanted For 'Brand X' Organ...

Thursday 15th April

Ian Griffin, the designer of the so called 'BRAND X' electronic organ, said that he must give the instrument he built a suitable name.  He has therefore come up with the idea of having suggestions from organ-keyboard enthusiasts.    Ian thinks that an ideal time to evaluate any suggested names would be at the Keyboard Cavalcade festival at Pontin's Pakefield (April 19th - 26th). 

Although the instrument is currently based of two Ketron keyboards, the design caters for combinations of other makes.   The name should therefore reflect on the versatili... Read more.

Thursday 15th April

23rd May 2010 will see Alex Payler in a special one off show.  The venue is the large Wyvern Hall, Central Avenue in Sittingbourne, Kent.  Starting at 3pm, doors open at 2.15pm.

With impressive lighting provided by Keith Wilcox from Supreme Lighting and full multi-angle Video Projection from fellow artiste, Daniel Watt, it should be a wonderful show aimed to appeal to the general public of all ages as well as organ enthusiasts.

Up on stage will be the mighty ELX-1m - the only one in the UK, and in fact, one of only 4 outside of Japan.

An electronic organ designed and built by Ian Griffin will be revealed at the Keyboard Cavalcade festival to be held at Pontin\\\'s Pakefield - April 19th- 26th.

The innovative design (based around two Ketron keyboards and a pedalboard) is likely to appeal to those who like single manual keyboards but prefer a conventional electronic organ with two keyboards and bass pedals.
