Tuesday 28th April

A few months ago it was envisaged that Peterborough Organ & Keyboard Club would cease to be at the end of this year, however Tony Oliver has informed us that this will not now be the case. Following a committee meeting on Monday 27th April it was decided that the club can survive longer than anticipated and they will now be making bookings up to and including September 2016. It is also hoped if they can maintain increased numbers it maybe longer.

Another year passes and Britain's Got Talent is back on our TV screens. Last night Tony Stace & Andrew Nix got their chance to be seen on the show. Unfortunately Mr Cowell hates organs, a fact that was made pretty clear in the way the boys performance was edited. It would seem that ability is not enough, you have to have a hook! This year is the 30th anniversary of the release of Andy Quin's groundbreaking CD, Mirage. It was recorded on the Fairlight CMI, the world's first sampling computer musical instrument. This instrument was the forerunner to solid-state digital sampling and recording systems such as those used in modern computers, mobiles, ipods and of course digital organs and Hauptwerk.

The COS Northern district have announced the details of their Northern Convention. 28th - 31st AUGUST 2015

Artistes include: Howard Beaumont, Phil Kelsall MBE, John Mann, Kevin Grunill, Richard Hills FRCO, Christian Cartwright, Stephen Foulkes, Simon Gledhill, Nigel Ogden, Jonathan Eyre and Walt Strony from the USA

Two two course meals and three buffets are included as well as Luxury coaches to all venues
