The Burgess Hill Keyboard Club are delighted to announce that therie next concert on Friday 15th April 2011 @ 7.15pm will feature star accordionists, Jack Emblow and Tony Compton.
Jack Emblow is a very famous accordionist who has performed in many BBC Radio & TV programmes over the past 50 years. For example, Last of the Summer Wine - Allo' Allo', Bergerac & Sing Something Simple. Jack has recently toured the UK & Europe with Jazz Guitarist Martin Taylor and his Spirit of Django group.
Banstead Organ Club wish to advise that their concert on April 11th wiil now be performed by Michael McAneny and not Penny Weedon as advertised.
The Club wishes Penny a speedy recovery from her period of ill health.
Our own John Romero was taken in to hospital last weekend, we can now report that he is OK but will be unable to play for at least a couple of days as his surgeon is contemplating an operation.
Richard Monks has kindly offered to swap over his concert so Richard will be appearing at Winchester Electronic Organ Society this evening and John will be there on June 7th 2011.
Following the diagnosis of a rather large stone John has said he will never be able to look at a steak and kidney pudding in the same light again!
Last Friday saw players from the Orpington Organ & Keyboard Club do a "Sponsored Playathon" at their local Sainsbury's for Red Nose Day.
It was such a success, that they were asked to go back on the Saturday which they did and overall raised more than £700! What an achievement!! Not only have they raised such a wonderful amount for charity but what an excellent way to promote the club and the orgn & keyboard in general.
Keep up the good work guys!
