After presenting concerts at Bispham United Reformed Church near Blackpool, The Blackpool Keyboard Club has now returned to it’s former home of 25 years – The Pro-Deaf Club, Cornwall Avenue, North Shore, Blackpool.

Alan Greaves, a church organist from Sheffield,was found with head injuries on the pavement near to his home on Greengate Lane at approximately 11.15pm on December 24. He died on Thursday night surrounded by his family at the city's Northern General Hospital. South Yorkshire Police have now launched a murder investigation and are appealing for witnesses to come forward. It would seem that it is likely a weapon was used and the motive for the attack is not yet known.

Penny Weedon has had a new music book published. It's entitled GRADE FUN, a pun on the fact that she originally composed all the pieces for London College of Music grade exams in keyboard and organ. As they proved fun and very popular with the candidates she has now had them as a book for everyone to enjoy, whether they're taking an exam or just playing for fun. The book contains 17 pieces, carefully graded to give a gentle progress curve.
