Yesterday 5th October saw the funeral for Nick Swift. The Chapel was full and standing room was arranged outside as over 200 people attended the memorial Woodlands.
Music was played by Michael Wooldridge, the eulogy was given by Colin Ford and the ceromony was conducted by Rev Ann Parker.
Many of the guests which included family, friends, customers, musicians and leading names in the music business stayed an hour or so to swap stories about Nick.
The home music world has been shocked and saddened by the untimely death of Nick Swift of Swift Music at the age of only 57. He was widely known for his unstinting support of organists, organ societies and music festivals throughout the country and the contribution he made is immeasurable.
Nick and his wife Margaret opened their organ, piano and keyboard shop in Bristol in September 2000. Nick had previously run his own business in finance and Margaret had been employed in the civil service. Together they resolved to run the kind of business that they wo... Read more.
We have just been informed of an open invitation to anyone who would like to celebrate Nick's life. His funeral will be Friday 5th October at 1.30pm at Woodlands, just north of Bristol, BS35 3TA.

Jean Martyn will be playing at St Johns' Methodist Church, St Austell, Cornwall on 20th September. The aim of the event is to raise money for The Little Harbour Childrens Hospice. Tickets are available from the Hospice Tel: 01271 325 270
